Trapped In Love

Her eyes, green, oval, crinkle, razor focused on her prey.

He prayed for an accidental collision with an unfamiliar girl.

A kaleidoscope, pushing his tongue across his teeth.

But his game fell short.

She coils her game, waiting for the strike — to pull his guts through his teeth.

locking him in the corner of her dark heart.

He pounds the bars of the cage she placed him in; his breath seeps through a gag, covering his mouth.

She won’t let him go.

His self-esteem crumbles beneath his will to give up, suffocating the fact that things could ever be the same.

He turned the tables, waiting for her to let him go.
